The backbone of the TTR Bikes rental fleet is the versatile Electra Townie 7D, a user-friendly city bike that is at home on city streets or the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We two variations of the Townie 7D available, the conventional frame (with a curved top-tube) and the U-frame, or step-thru, design. The conventional one-size-fits-most frame is fine for men or women, but the U-frame works best for those who are shorter in stature.
Reservations are recommended for weekend rentals.
The Townie 7D rents for:
$20 for up to 4 hours; $30/day (same day return); $45 for a 2-day or weekend; $90/week.
We have the Bacchetta Bella available for those who would like to try the recumbent riding experience—it's a very easy-to-ride recumbent with a short learning curve. With its relatively long wheelbase plus a really comfortable seat, the Bella fills the bill.
The Bella rents for:
$25 for up to 4 hours, $40/day (same day return), $75 for a two-day or weekend; $150/week.
We keep several rental tandems in stock. Tandems need consideration of sizing for both captain and stoker, so we ask that you call us beforehand to reserve one of our tanems that suits your needs.
Tandems rent for:
$30 for up to four hours, $45/day (same day return); $75 for a two-day or weekend; $150/week.
Finally, we have the darndest thing you ever saw, the 7-person Conference Bike, in our rental fleet. You can the Conference Bike in action at www.conferencebike.com ; it is a head-turning, ice-breaking experience which is really good for getting people exercising and communicating! Conference Bikes are used by corporations in Europe and the U.S. to help promote team-building and creative thinking.
The Conference Bike rental varies a bit depending on the rental circumstances but is normally at these rates:
When rented from, and returned to, our location on the Swamp Rabbit Trail (at the Hudson Street crossing, close to downtown): $90 for the first hour, $60 for each additional hour, or $250/day.
When transported to another location around town, and picked up there: $100 transportation charge, and $250/day, with $100 for additional days.
