May is National Bike Month, and Bikeville—Greenville's Bicycle Friendly Community initiative—is stepping it up this year with several noteworthy events. There's a full slate of events and activities, which you can see here, but TTR Bikes wants to highlight one in particular: the Commuter Challenge. If you're an active or aspiring bicycle commuter, this one's for you.
So how does it work? Full details are available on the Bike Month website, but here are the basics:
- Register with World Commute, and join the Bikeville group.
- Enter your daily mileage
- Print out a copy of your registration and bring it to any participating bike shop (ahem) for a nice discount and a pat on the back.
- Enjoy your ride, and enjoy tracking the fuel and CO2 emissions you save by choosing to engage in active transportation!
There's no shortage of cool stuff going on during bike month: a photo contest, a mountain bike skills clinic, a commuter class at TTR . . . we want to help Bikeville make this the best Bike Month ever.
